Privacy Policy
Ontollo builds software that turns scattered signals, business drivers, and knowledge into an operational graph that AI can act on. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or use our platform, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We're headquartered in Delaware and serve customers around the world, including in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. This policy is designed to meet the requirements of Australia's Privacy Act, New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020, and applicable U.S. state privacy laws like the CCPA.
Information we collect
Information you give us directly — like your name, email, company, job title, and phone number when you sign up, request a demo, or contact us. If you're a paying customer, we also collect billing information (your card details are handled by our payment processor — we don't store them).
Information we collect automatically — like your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and how you interact with our site and product. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies, described below.
Information you send us — anything you share through support requests, forms, or emails.
We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16, and our services aren't directed at kids.
How we use it
We use your information to:
-
Run and improve our website and product
-
Set up and manage your account
-
Process payments
-
Respond to support requests and questions
-
Send you product updates and marketing materials (you can opt out at any time)
-
Understand how people use our site so we can make it better
-
Keep our systems secure and prevent abuse
-
Meet our legal obligations
Cookies and tracking
We use HubSpot for site analytics, forms, and marketing emails, along with Google Analytics and ad pixels (Meta, LinkedIn) to see how our marketing is performing.
Cookies that aren't essential to running the site — analytics, marketing, and advertising cookies — only load after you consent through our cookie banner. You can change your mind anytime by revisiting that banner or clearing your cookies.
How we share information
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with:
-
The vendors who help us run Ontollo — HubSpot, Google Analytics, our hosting and payment providers — bound by contracts limiting how they can use your data.
-
Ad platforms we use for campaign measurement and retargeting (Meta, LinkedIn), and only once you've consented to marketing cookies.
-
Authorities, if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Ontollo, our users, or others.
-
A buyer, if Ontollo is ever acquired or merged — your information would transfer as part of that deal.
How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as we need it to run our services, meet legal requirements, and resolve any disputes. After that, we delete or de-identify it.
Your rights
If you're in Australia: You can ask to access or correct your personal information. If you're unhappy with our response, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
If you're in New Zealand: You have the same right to access and correct your information, and to know how and why we collected it. You can raise concerns with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
If you're in the U.S.: Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what we've collected, get a copy of it, correct it, delete it, and opt out of targeted advertising or "sharing" of your data. We won't discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
We don't sell data for money, but our ad pixels can count as "sharing" under some state laws (like California's), even without a sale. You can opt out anytime by declining marketing/advertising cookies in our consent banner, or via a Global Privacy Control signal where we support it.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@ontollo.com. We'll respond within the timeframe the law requires.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, but we take this seriously.
International transfers
Since we operate across Australia, New Zealand, and the U.S., your information may be processed in a country other than your own — including the U.S., where our servers are based. We take steps to make sure it's protected wherever it goes.
Third-party links
Our site may link to other websites. We're not responsible for their privacy practices, so it's worth a look at their policies too.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if things change, and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll let you know.
